The Monuments of Mars
The war between the Danaan and the Annunaki stretched from earth into the solar system. It is the basis for many of the War in Heaven legends that are prominent in many cultures across the planet.
A Danaan colony was set up on Mars to observe the truce, wherein both races agreed to leave Earth behind. The truce was broken and the colony on the planet was attacked.
During the years between 1860 and 1872, astronomers on Earth witnessed massive explosions on the red planet. It is speculated that when they ended abruptly in 1872 that the attack, waged using missiles and bombs, had finally ceased. It appears that the Archons were directly responsible for the assault.
In retaliation, the Danaan turned Mars into a Hellzone, fatal to the Archon attackers. The pyramid is actually the home of a sonic weapon, or in legend, Music of the Spheres. It acts as gigantic broadcast tower. The sound is constantly produced by the winds of Mars and blankets the entire planet. It is too subtle for human ears to pick up, but is deadly to the Archons. They can never set foot on the planet again.
That is the reason behind the Cydonia Colony. To find the source of the sound and put an end to it. But it didn't go as planned. A change in the harmonics of the sound amplifier caused sterility in every single inhabitant of the colony.
The Pyramid, the so called D and M pyramid, named after DiPetro and Molenar, a pair of computer photographic analysts. It is one mile high by one point six miles at the base. It is also a pentahedron, a five sided pyramid, not like the four sided pyramids found on earth.
Around the base of the pyramid were huge ruined structures. At the base of the pyramid itself was a gaping hole, most likely caused by the missiles and bombs during the war over three hundred years previous.
Entry to the pyramid was gained via rail car that was set up from the Cydonia base. The car traveled into the heart of the monument, traveling at a ninety degree angle for approximately a minute, before leveling out. The walls were constructed of individual stone blocks, all of them three times the size of the vehicle that was used to transport passengers into the building.
There were six levels in all. Each level was huge, and each one with its own distinct architecture. It appears as if different strata of Danaan society occupied the levels, with their own customs and dialects.
The sixth and uppermost level of the monument had artificial gravity generators installed as well as an atmosphere so people could work in it, if not comfortably. Access to the harmonics was gained from a platform. From here travelers would go down a wide corridor, lit by wall bracketed light tubes. They would pass through a series of triangular archways. Cut into the stone above each was a spiral glyph, the same kind of cup and circle design that was seen in the Priory of Awen. The stone floor slanted slightly upward, with arches opening occasionally to the left and right. A low hum would be detected the further one traveled.
Finally travelers would enter a huge vaulted chamber. So vast was the chamber that either end was lost in the darkness. Six circular tiers descended to the center of the chamber, surrounded by column like dais raised six feet off the floor. From it a metal shaft rose straight up to the darkened ceiling.
Rising from the base of the dais, extending at ever increasing angles into the high shadows was a taunt web-work of fine silver filaments, hundreds, perhaps thousands of them. They were all connected to the series of circular tiers. A dim glow came down from the pointed roof, glistening off the filaments.
This is the source of the sonics that make it impossible for the Archons to ever set foot on the planet again. A man named Micah Harwin, father to Sindri, was responsible for the sterilization of the colonists. He was trying to find a way to change or end the frequencies but instead doomed all the planets inhabitants Which led to a war between the Transadapts and the humans.
Sindri exiled his father to the pyramid to try and undo what he had done, sparing him from the war that wiped the humans out, as well as two thirds of the Transadapts.
