Slang
ACE: Excellent.
ACE IN THE LINE: Right on. Correct.
ADIES: People in need of aid, or help
ANDIES: Androids
ANK RIDGE: Anchorage.
ANTI PERS: Anti personnel mines or weapons.
BARON: A land owner, ruler of a section of territory.
BARONY: The land or territory controlled by a baron.
BIG FIRE: Yet another term for the great war.
BIG FREEZE: Nuclear winter.
BLACK DUST: An Exclamation.
BLASTER: A generic term describing firearms, also can be used to describe a hired gun.
BLOOD DRINKER: This term is used to describe someone who really enjoys killing or a vampire.
BOOBIES: A booby trap.
BUY THE FARM: This term describes someone dying.
CANNON: Any large Caliber weapon.
CANNIE: Cannibal
CHILL, CHILLED, CHILLER, CHILLING: Various terms used to describe killing or death.
CIFIC: The Pacific.
CHEM: Chemical.
COLD HEARTS: Killers, usually highwaymen or the like. Murderers.
CRAZIES: Insane.
CREDS: A term for cash.
CREEPIES: Scared.
DARK DUSTED: An exclamation.
DARK NIGHT: A curse of exclamation.
DARKS: The mountain range in Montana.
DEATHLANDS: The new name for the United States.
DEVS: Deviants, an insult. Deviant from the norm.
DOOMIE, DOOMSEER: A generic term for anyone who possesses the Psionic ability of Precognition.
DOUBLE, TRIPLE: Degree of intensity.
DRECK: Shit.
DREG: The dregs of society, usually the unclean, contaminated outlanders. Almost as bad as mutants.
DUMBIES: People who are deaf and mute.
EX-GREN: Fragmentation Grenade.
EX-PLAS: Plastic explosives.
EYES SKINNED: Keep a look out.
FEEB: Feeble.
FIREBLAST: A curse.
FIREFISH: Jelly fish.
FLADGIES: Religious extremists who were Flagellant.
FRANCHIE: Term for a French speaking person.
FREEZE: To kill
FREEZIES: A generic term for anyone who has been cryogenically Frozen.
FUSE, FUSED: A magistrates term for someone who is crazy or went crazy. As in blown a fuse.
GERMER: A biological agent or someone who is diseased.
GLOWING NIGHT SHIT: An exclamation
GREN: A generic term for any type of Grenade.
GUTTER SLUT/WHORE: An insult.
HAND BLASTER: A handgun.
HEALER: Doctor.
HELLBLAST: An exclamation.
HELLZONES: A term used to describe the wasteland, usually someplace heavily contaminated with radiation or another form of deadly toxin. Most major city ruins are known as hellzones.
HIDER: A hidden weapon, such as a derringer, or a knife.
HILLIES: People who live in the hills or mountains.
HOT PIPE: An exclamation, usually denoting excitement.
HOTLANDS: Irradiated lands, usually the site of a nuclear impact.
HUME: Mutant term for a normal human.
ICING: Killing
JACK: The name for the common currency.
LAND WAG: Any land travelling vehicle.
LANDIES: Land mines.
LANTIC: The Atlantic.
LASKA: Alaska.
LAST TRAIN TO THE COAST: Having died, or will die soon.
LEC FENCE: Electric fence.
LIBBERLADY: Statue of liberty.
LIVING STEEL: A term for any robot or computer.
LOCO WAG: Locomotive, or train.
LONG NIGHT: Terms for the war years.
LONG WINTER: Terms for the war years.
LOST DAYS: The time immediately following the war.
LUCI GAS: Hallucinatory gas
MAG GREN: Magnesium grenade.
MALFUNK: Malfunction
MANNIE: Mutant term for a normal human.
MATTAN: Manhattan.
MEGACHILL: Massive deaths.
MEGACULL: Massive deaths.
MERCIE: Mercenary.
MEX LAND: Mexico.
MUTIE: A Racial slur towards any mutant.
NERVER: Nerve gas.
NON-COMBS: Non combantants.
NORM: Mutant term for a normal human.
NUKE DEATH: A curse.
NUKE HEAD: Shit head. An insult.
NUKE SHIT: A curse
NUKE STORM: Yet another term for the holocaust.
NUKE SUCKER: An insult.
NUKE WITHERED: Another Curse.
OLDIE: Term for an old person.
OLD GUYS: Term for those before the war.
OLD ONES: The name people use for the ancient indians who used to inhabit America's south west.
OUTLANDER: A generic term for an outsider.
OUTLANDS: The term used to describe the Lands outside the nine baronies.
OUTWORLDER: Another term for a stranger or outsider.
PAINIES: Pain killers.
PLAUGERS: Someone infested with a hideous disease.
POST DARK: The years after the nuclear winter.
POWERING: Running like hell.
PRE CHILL: Pre holocaust.
PRE DARK: Pre holocaust.
PRE-WINTER: Pre holocaust.
RAD: Radiation.
RAD FIRE: An exclamation.
RAD SCUM: An insult.
REDOUBTS: This term is used to describe any military Instillation or military storage depot.
REFLEC: A mirror.
RUSSKIES: Russians.
SAB DEVICE: Sabotage devices.
SAILORS: Any one who makes their living from the sea or a lake.
SCATTER GUN: A generic term for a shotgun.
SCAVVIE: A term for a man/woman/mutant that makes it's living by scavaging the ruins for anything useful.
SEC MEN: Guards or security men.
SEC WAG: A heavily armored civilian vehicle, not of military make.
SELF DEATH: Suicide.
SENSOR: A mutant who can sense danger, sort of a low powered doomie.
SHADOWLAND: A generic term to describe the land of the dead.
SHENS: Shenandoahs
SHYTOWN: Chicago.
SICKIES: Someone infested with a hideous disease.
SIMP: Simpleton, stupid.
SIPPI: The Mississippi.
SKY BOMBS: Nukes.
SKY DARK: Terms for the war years.
SLAGGER: An insult, usually used when talking about someone who doesn't live in the baronies.
SMOKIES: Volcanoes
SOVS: The term for Soviets.
STIFF: A corpse.
STRIKE: Luck.
STRONGARM: The term used in the Outlands to describe a sec man used by a warlord or bandit chief.
STUPE: Stupid
SWAMP WAG: A vehicles for travelling in the swamps.
TALKIE: A hand held communication device.
TAINT: A Racial slur towards any mutant.
TECHIE: Anyone who possesses technical skills, or scientists.
TENNER: Another name for the Tennessee river.
TROGGIES: Troglodytes. Humanoids that live underground.
UNDERNEITH: A term for tunnels, underground lairs and ruins. Usually found in the ruins of major cities.
WAG: A generic term describing a car or truck.
WAG CHILLER: Anti-armor weapons.
WAR WAG: A generic term for any military vehicle.
WATER WAG: A boat.
WESTIES: Westerns.
WHITE COAT: Term for a scientist.
WHEELIES: Slang term for Wheelchairs.
WHIRLY WAG: Helicopter.
WITCH/WARLOCK: A term to describe a person who possesses any kind of Psionic Ability.
WRINKLIE: Term for an old person.
WRIST CRON: A wristwatch.
VADA: Nevada.
VID: Videos
VILLE: A town or a city.
ZARKS: The Ozarks.
Phrases
A FEW ROUNDS SHORT OF A FULL MAG: Crazy, slightly insane.
BLACKER THAN A STICKIES SOUL: Incredibly evil, or very dark.
DAYS OF THE SMOKE CLOUDS: The days following the war.
DEEP RAD DUST: Deep trouble.
DONT ROCK THE BOAT: Dont cause trouble.
DROP THE RADS: Give it a rest.
DRY AS NEUTRON BONES: Incredibly dry.
FIT TO FIGHT?: You ok?
GOOD AS A BARON'S PROMISE: Not trustworthy.
GO SEE WHERE THE CROSSHAIRS MEET: Go see where it takes us.
HOLD DOWN THE TRIGGER: Really lost temper.
HOT SPOT STANDOFF: A no win situation.
HOTTER THAN NUKE RED: Very hot!
I DON'T LIKE THIS A SPENT ROUND: I don't like this one bit.
IN A CARTRIDGE CASE: Thats it.
KEEP THE HAMMER LIFTED: Relax, take it easy!
LIKE A BULLET ON ITS WAY OUT OF A BLASTER: Whats done is done.
MAD AS FIRE DAY: Crazy.
MUTATED SON OF NUKEDOME!: An insult, like son of a bitch.
SHAKE THE DUST OFF THIS PLACE: Let's leave.
SPILLED BLOOD CAN'T GO BACK INTO THE BODY: No use worrying about what is done.
TIME'S BLOOD: Don't waste time.
TOUCH OF THE HORRORS: The willies, being scared.
