You know I MAY just stick around here and see what happens. As of last week I was done with this site after getting nothing but constant attacks.

You have put too much hard work in to this site Ron for me to turn my back on it so lets see what happens around here in future.

    Hey Ron,

Its your site, who am I to complain ? Perhaps a new start takes all the "I've been here years"  away from us long time old folk around here.

Avatars while fun are not really a necessity  to that fun, they just make spotting your own posts easier in the list. Will we get our signitures back too ? Again not needed but a bit of fun.

It's probably unhealthy, just how much I love Dewey Cox.  Just a tip to anyone interested in his music - the version of the Walk Hard soundtrack on iTunes has nearly twice as many songs as what is on the CD in stores.  Those extra tracks are among the very best, including classics like Ladies First and The Mulatto Song.    I even have a framed poster on my office wall from the Cox Across America 2007 Tour.  The man is a genius, I tell ya.

So far series four of Doctor Who is okay.  I am not loving it as much as I did series three, but the third episode (Planet of the Ood) was good.  I have high hopes for this season, I have a pretty good idea where it is going and the last four episodes are going to be a real blowout.

Which season of Doctor Who are you missing ? I'm in the UK and the current series here has the awful Catherine Tate in it as his new companion.

This may be of interest to you (you may already have been there):

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho/

Its the official BBC website for Doctor Who.

Me I hate it, if you want REAL Doctor Who you need to go back to the time of John Pertwee -oh that does make me feel old

You forgot to mention Battlestar Galactica, possibly the best Sci-Fi to hit TV EVER and that is saying something from a long time Trek fan.

Sarah Jane Smith returned in the series two episode "School Reunion", and is now featured in a new ongoing series "The Sarah Jane Smith Adventures".  So I guess you don't have to be iffy on Ten.  He is all kinds of awesome.

Ron - I know.  Sarah Jane AND Anthony Stewart Head in the same episode?  It was a backhanded smooch to Tennant's Doctor.  Sarah Jane and Rose's conversation was the best part of an awesome episode.  That and K-9 being a big damb hero against the space demons.

I also have some tapes of Sarah's new show, but haven't watched them yet.

The U.S. is three weeks behind the U.K. (which is much better than in previous years, where the series completed its run in the U.K. before starting here).  So this weekend in the U.K. you have The Sontaran Stratagem while in the U.S. we get Partners in Crime.  Or, if you are like me, you are completely up to date by the magic of bit torrents.  I don't feel the least bit guilty about doing that, since I turn around and buy the DVDs as soon as they are commercially available.

Doctor Who airs on the BBC in the United Kingdom.  In the United States,  the Sci-Fi Channel airs the current episodes of Doctor Who, as well as The Sarah Jane Adventures.  BBCAmerica (which is in no way related to the BBC, they just use the name to give the impression that they are) shows older episodes of Doctor Who, but they do air Torchwood only a few days after it airs in the U.K. (or at least they were, but the second series of Torchwood recently concluded so there won't be any new episodes until 2009).  No major station in the United States is currently airing classic Doctor Who episodes that I am aware of, although there may be regional stations (mostly PBS) that air them.

I thought a while back that BBCAmerica did have Doctor Who the first season with christopher ekalstien.  But that has been a month or 2 ago.  But i might be wrong they got Robin Hood on rite now im like WTF >___<" havent watched it so i don't know if it's good.  I watched a ep of FireFly a month back. I liked it, it was on SciFi for a marithon run for a week day.  It has Cameron on it the Chick cyborg on The Sarah Conner Chronicles.  Torchwood looks good but haven't got to see any eps saw commercials for it but haven't watched it.

Correct, right now BBCAmerica is running Doctor Who series one and two (all of Christopher Eccleston, and the first series of David Tennant).  They might even be running series three now, I'm not sure.  But Sci-Fi is the only place you'll see the new series four episodes for the time being.

As I said, so far I am not loving series four.  I thought series three was just all kinds of awesome, with the only real weak point being Daleks in Manhatten.  I just think they have gone to the dalek well too many times now.  Then again, I am actually pretty interested in this year's inevitable dalek story, in that the rumor is that it features Sir Ben Kingsley as Davros.  How's that for a performing arc?  All the way from Ghandi, one of the true icons of strenght through peace, to Davros, the most hated megalomaniacs in the history of the universe.

Sweet i can't wait for those shows to come out.  Yea i wish they would have had more seasons of Christopher Eccleston in them.  He sounded so cool i like the acsents.  My dad got to watch the ep of the runnaway bride from Youtube.com one  year before it was here in the states i watched it also.  Can't wait to see what the Doctor has in store.  I wish they would have kept that one doctor girl on it she was nice girl.

So how long (on average) is it between them being shown here in England to you getting them on TV (NOT Youtube) in the States ?

Jim....original bsg or the rework ? Hated the old one. Loved the new one ...on the fence with Caprica...gonna take a wait and see on that one, Watch the first couple episodes at least...didn't really get to excited about the pilot soooo. I think Edward James Olmos as Adama was fantastic.got right fed up and tired of Starbuck very early in the series. I sincerely think thats what Ronald Moores intention. The old starbuck was annoyingly sweet so his goal was to keep the annoying factor but change the reason...Just my thought. Loved the series and it actully gave me the hots for Lucy Lawless...LOL.

It has to be the new one, by a long mark.

Still,  I was SO against them remaking it and the idea of making Starbuck a WOMAN almost made me grey!! Then I watched the pilot and was hooked...

Not seen Caprica yet, infact I didn't even know it had started ?

I totally agree. Loved hating Starbuck for the entire series run.  They had some seriously evil characters in that series.  Tory and  John being foremost in my mind. Dean Stockwell was brilliant.  Caprica pilot aired here as a 2 hour movie on the space channel. Had a tough time sitting through it, moved very slow if you ask me.  Once you get a chance to see it let me know what you think.  The Raiders were so well done and the battle scenes were breathtaking.  Made the final battle of Deep Space Nine look like an old bugs bunny/Yosemite Sam cartoon.  What did you think of the New Star Trek?  there's probably a thread here...if not here's the perfect opertunity to start a discussion on it eh? LOL

BTW..I loved it and hated it.  Why later.
