You beat me to that one.

Rick was one of those characters that you knew was going to get the chop from the outset. One of my favourite quotes comes from the interaction between Rick and Jak, it went something like this:

Rick "...I have to find my filofax, I cant live without my filofax..."

Jak "... what's a file o'fu_ks?"

I remember him stuck in a dacha in Russia, freezing his ass off with the rest of the companions. This is the book where they first meet a Russian badass, Zimyanin. (Or however you spell his name)

Great, dangerous nemesis for Ryan. They met 3 times before Ryan chilled him. Just like the 3-time meeting of Strasser. Laurence James liked his showdowns in 3's.

Laurence also had plans to bring Zimyanin back in a later book -yes, he did not die in the last encounter, despite what you read.

Due to the popularity of crossing two series together i've come up with an idea.
The DL gang jump into a Redoubt in Maine where they discover a Cryogenic lab with numerous ice lolly humans inside. the gang open up said freezers and only one has an elderly lady inside. the woman is incoherant but the redoubt suddenly goes up in flames so they do the decent thing and take her with them. After several days they come to a Ville by the sea. Baron Generic sex pervert Amos Tupper the 8th invites them for supper which they accept. At the Dinner The old woman introduces herself as "Angela" and they have an excellant meal and a lovely bottle of 1987 Shiraz( a good year according to Angela) and the gang and the o.a.p retire to there bedrooms.
In the morning However the Baron has been murdered with a Rose pruner.
The old woman suddenly reveals her name is Angela Lansbury and in her pre-freezie days was a famous murder mystery writer and goes on to solve the murder.
What does one think

Thats right, i had a lot of time on my hands this afternoon.

LOL. I read your initial message sir, and I appreciate the reasoning behind it. However I am at most an overcrazed fanboy of Mr. James work.

I confess that my interaction was limited to talking my mother into writing him back in '93 to see if he was purposely dropping hints of S. Kings writings in his own sence of Fandom for the man. I was correct. My mother got me into the deathlands series so it was her wrote to him. However It is mine now.
