As many of you have noticed, we have been having stability issues with our web server for several months now. Because we have been unable to satisfactorily resolve the issue with the current server, I am moving the website to a new server today. This involves changing the DNS entry  in order to point to the new name server and web server, which means for a period of time you may be seeing either the old or the new depending upon how quickly the DNS change propagates. In order to prevent any data loss, I am temporarily shutting off the forum. This will only last for 48 hours, by which point the DNS propagation should be complete.  Thank you for your patience.

If you are seeing this, that means you are looking at the new server. Congratulations. Hopefully, this is the end of all of the weird issues and dropouts we have been having.

The new server seems to be stable. Please, though, if you encounter any issues at all with the website - particularly if you get any errors just trying to reach the website - please send me an email at ron@jamesaxler.com to let me know.

Previously the web server and the name server were the same physical machine, so when the server went down that also took my email down. Now the name server is completely separate and the web server is all new (it's actually a cloud-based server), so even if the site itself goes down for any reason my email will still work (unless Google also goes down, and if that happens then it means that Colonel Thrush has been successful at triggering the nuclear apocalypse and we have much bigger issues to deal with than a failed website).
