My name is Chris Drake and I write a lot.  So far, I've published one book which has done pretty well.  I mainly write on the books in my series and post info/short stories to my blog.  The reason I'm here is because a lot of what I write can be appreciated by the Deathlands crowd.  There are a few major differences in the Cruel New World series that I write and Deathlands but I think both target the same audience. 

My stuff is largely based on my own para-military experiences as well as stories I've picked up along the way.  My series is set during WW3 and in one book, 15-20 years after WW3 (Baron of the Coast).  Even with only one book  out, there is a lot of my stuff out there to read.  The majority of it is on my blog and I'm pretty cool if people will just ask me before reproducing it.  So if you want a short story for your fanzine or webpage, just email me. 

In the real world, I live near Saint Simons, Georgia.  Most of my writing is done on an Asus netbook which I carry with me on my HD Sportster (great on gas).  I travel the countryside and when I find a good spot, I sit down and write all day.  Some of my writing is done on a jet  or at an airport while going out to Arizona to the US/Mexican border.  All in all, I have a lot of fun in life and get a lot of writing done in the process.
