Hello all. If you are a regular visitor you may have noticed that the forums look a little different and there are some new options in the site navigation. This is the result of our upgrade to Active Social, courtesy of the fine folks at Active Modules and the Orlando DotNetNuke User's Group.

I still have quite a bit of tweaking to do, but please take a look around and let me know what you think. If you are a registered user, you have the ability to create your own groups (much like a Facebook group), and creating a group creates your own private forum to boot. There is also an enhanced messaging system, a full friending system, and just about everything else you could ask for in a social networking tool. So please kick the tires and then give me your feedback. I am eager to hear what you all think!

    Looks good Ron.

Have looked around and can't see anything that appears to be amiss.

    Ron,

How do I PM now ?

Also clicking on a members name used to take me to that persons profile now it takes me to mine ?

I've just reloaded the Avatar no problems there.

I am still tweaking quite a few things. Right now I am focusing on the styling issues over in the Profiles section.

Definitely issues with the quoting. I know where to look to solve that, but I probably won't have time this afternoon.

Clicking on your avatar took me to your profile page, and there is a link right there to send a message.

Unfortunately the styling on the Messaging page is still way off. I am working my way through the profile page right now.

What I have seen so far impreses me no end.

Thanks for all the hard work you put in here.

I am making good progress now with the formatting. I just finally got the Profiles page fully readable (go take a look, just click on my profile icon!). Still much tweaking left to do...

I just posted a question about the quote issue over on the Active Modules forum, and I think I might actually be seeing one of the developers tonight (there is a local development conference going on here in Orlando and I am having dinner with a bunch of folks tonight who are DotNetNuke developers), so hopefully I will find a fix for that soon. So far that is the biggest issue I have seen.

In random other news, everybody got bumped back to square one with the new ranking system. I am going to come up with some custom rank names, and if you feel like you should be bumped up to a higher level please let me know and I can goose your points a little. I can't change your post count, but I can bump you up in other ways behind the scenes. I can also give you a custom title if you want one (see where mine says "Website Owner"? I can do something there for you if you ask nicely.)

This is a nice looking version of the board. However, until the quoting thing's resolved, it'll be hard to read the AP/Ellis debate.

    (looks for the popcorn smiley)
