I've read every book except for the last dozen and i had an idea. the mat trans has taken the companions to ryans home, and jak's home, but i thought it would be cool to have them mat-trans to Krysty's, J.B.'s, and Doc's and Mildred's hometowns. especially with mildred and maybe doc, because i live in lincoln, nebraska.

Yeah I like that idea. They have been to Krysty's home town before in the novel "Crossway's". I think it would be good for Mildred to go back to the city she was from.

Taking Doc back to South Strafford -or what remains of it would make a fantastic tale, but only if done by an author who knew his back story well and was prepared to put the work in to make it work.
Place the Redoubt inside Elizabeth copper mine -which was in operation during Docs (pre trawl) days and blow his mind in the first few chapters.
Its only a small town so may well be mostly untouched even after all these years?

It just cries out for a Baron who is a religious nut to run it.

But he was born in South Strafford
What has Copper Creek got to do with J.B, he was born in Cripple Creek?

Where is Mildred from? Atlanta seems to ring a bell but I could be wrong. Or was that where she won Olympic Gold.

I believe it was said that she re-awakened fixed that something in the freezing process fixed her . I could be completely wrong though. If that isn't it then maybe it was never said how she got fixed .

Yes, Mildred's problem went into remission due to the cryogenic process. So we were told.

Baz, they should just let you edit the books! Then again the pay wouldn't be worth it.

Yes, Mike, the pay would be worth it. I no longer know what a work-for-hire writer is paid. But in the world of editing, the compensation is fine, thank you.

You're welcome, but I think I was addressing Baz.
I don't remember asking anything about what a work-for-hire author makes either.
Since you brought it up, I'm sure your pay is commensurate with your skill judging by the fine editing seen on all Gold Eagle product.

You should have an "s" at the end of "product". That will be $35 payable to the following Paypal account please... Oh and the pay can't be much worse than the less than wonderful rate that the government see fit to pay me each month! Jim
