Is anybody watching this superlative TV series? Man, this season already has blown me away!
I can't help but think why can't they do a Deathlands this good for TV?
Walking Dead also makes REVOLUTION look silly and very cheesy.

I have seen this since the start and have to say so far season three has gone beyond anything that they have done in the previous two. Not seen episode 4 yet but can't wait to see how the Governor character develops? Jim

Third season is far superior to the aggressively dull second season. I just watched the latest episode last night, and without getting all spoilery about it I will just say that I am very pleased by the turn of events. I think the writers were going for "sad", but I was pretty much cheering the whole time.

With series 3 it seems like the series is finally reaching its potential. (Aside from the weird hobo-in-a-shack scene, how was that guy even still alive that far into the zombie apocalypse?)

If you haven't tried the two novels out, I just finished Walking Dead: Rise of the Governor a couple of weeks ago, and it reminded me strongly of early Laurence James DL books. Very good.
I just got the 2nd book from my library, and will be reading that soon.

We finally got rid of the last truly annoying character, what's not to like about that?

You must be referring to milton by that ??? Surely not andrea! Thought the season started like a freight train and ended in a bit of a whimper, compared to the build up. Dont get me wrong still a cracking series (makers of revolution take note) Mr Darabont, we salute you and if you've got some spare time, get started on a deathlands series.

I was sad that Milton died. He would have been a good addition to the regular cast. As for Andrea, I love her character in the comics. I wish that character had been on the tv show, instead of the braindead robot we got. Obviously the writers and editors agreed, because they put her in a situation where she easily had enough time to escape, and then showed her Stop. And. Look. Every. Few. Seconds. That girl would be seriously challenged by walking and chewing gum at the same time. Not at all like the fearsomely intelligent and effective sharpshooter by the same name who exists in the comics. I don't know if it was the actress or what, but she was easily the most unlikable character left on the show for all the wrong reasons. I literally cheered when she finally died.

Fair shout Mr Miles. Must confess to not having as yet read any of the comic books so cant comment on her transfer to the big screen. Whilst i didnt quite cheer when she kicked the bucket (has to be a sacrifice or two in each season) i did think her charcter was all over the place... One min she's a bad ass fearless go getter then a bit of a screaming girly girl the next. I do however think bar baby sitting detail Beth has to be the most pointless annoying character.

i felt somewhat robbed after watching the final episode. robbed in the kind of way that I would have if someone had shown and given me a £20 note but whaen i got home and checked it was actualy a£5 note instead. The lead up to this last episode bothe from previous ones and trailers I had seen led me (and my son) to believe a full blown showdown was coming between the good'uns and the bad'uns, what we got was a damp squib where the prision is attaked head on, hundreds of rounds expended, no one hit and then the attackers drive off with tails between their legs! Then to top it all the Governor goes off his tits and kills all but two of his loyal followers, just why none of them thought to top him whilst he was popping off rounds is anyones guess. The final straw came when the old school bus pulls into the prison and a whole host of helpless extras from the local geriatric home (just HOW did these people survive so long?) get off AND we are still stuck in the prison. Carl was right, just what the hell are they thinking... Jim

What about the latest in the post-Zombie apocalypse tv series - In The Flesh (BBC). Check it out - it's a whole new spin on the perils of coming back as one of the undead, or as they are officially titled in this BBC series, "The Partially Deceased". Anyone seen this yet?
