Everyone is always so critical of the new DL books coming out - if you could only re-read one early entry which title would it be?

    ONLY ONE!!!

It would be a three horse race between

    Dectra Chain
    Blood Lines
    or Stoneface

    Jim

Hmmm, in the past, I have re-read at least the first 20 books.

The original 1st book is terrific. So many to choose from....Zimyanin and Strasser were such memorable bad guys.

But there have been such awesome stories such as the Empire of Xibalba duology.

Not read too many of the earlier books but it would be a toss up between Neutron Solstice and Seedling.

I would say the first one, to remind me how it all began.

Funny thing, I just started rereading Pilgrimage To Hell myself . I decided to reread the first 10 books to go back to the beginning again . Man its been so long since I read these books it feels like a totally new series.

I read the first one a month back and it is a cracking read. The thing I liked most about the first eight books was that none of the main characters were safe. Hunaker, Finn etc all bought the last train west but could have easily been in the main group. They need to kill off one of the main characters soon, my vote is for either J.B, Ryan, Mildred or particularly Krysty! Controversial!

I just finished rereading the first book and all I can say is wow its amaising how much the writing of the series has changed . Some for the better and some for the worse . The bad guys in this book are so fantastically evil its a shame that they don't still exist out there in the DL somewhere today.

I'd really like to read Neutron Solstice again. Still my favorite.

The first one for me, but I have always had a soft spot for Pony Soldiers.
