Yes, I do question it. I think I have shown there are enough inconsistencies in his story that need answering to justify such questioning.

If it's true, I'll apologize and offer sincere thanks for his service.

If it's false, he's no more than a crud sucking parasite.

(Though, I'm wondering why his tireless defense of Mom and apple pie hasn't kept him from the board up until now...)

I'll say again...from the real veterans I have had contact with over the past few days I have learned the real heroes have no problem proving their identity due to the vast amount of phonies out there.

And they tell me they don't respond with outraged rants, but with courtesy and poise appropriate with their station.

So we'll see...maybe...

I've also learned how to report frauds to the proper authorities (it's easy actually, for anyone inclined to research it) so "Scourge" might have to explain to someone a little more interested than me...

Feel free to proceed with a paranoid rant in response. While at first I was hoping Ron would throw out the lot of you ( you give gun owners and Deathlands fans a bad name), but now I hope to hell he doesn't, you guys are too damn hilarious!

I love it!  Rock on, John Birch! Woo-hoo!

(Unfortunately, I see fresh corn in the future...)

LMAO!

I don't know about you Mike, but I definitely hear the cornfield calling these steretypes home. And that statement is no more a threat than my earlier reference to AOEC's banning was...it's only an observation or better yet, it's a prediction.

(I dread the threat in response to my non-threat.)

ever think since he is active duty maybe he is out doing something important and not just sitting in front of a computer? throw out the lot of us eh? who you lumping together with that? people that just sit there to call out other people for their own amusement are just sad and silly....maybe some introspection is necessary? not sure i have seen you post anything of real value Mike....so time to let go maybe? If Mac has the time to get one here i hope he does prove you wrong, and then disappears from here for his own reasons and not let kiddies like yourself bother him with stupid stuff.....

end of rant for me.....back On topic maybe?

Real value?

Hmm, like what?

How about the world's most misspelled, poorly structured, and overall worst written DL fanfic?

Nahhh!  That's probably been taken.

(Oh, no I didn't...sorry, dude!  That was uncalled for!)

I feel bad that you are catching heat now Dan,

Look, guy's you saying that you hoped Ron threw the lot of us out has a few holes in it IMO.

One.WE are not the ones who will not let this little war die,It 's you 4 fellows.

Neither mac/Dan/Andy/or myself has said or done anything other than to defend ourselves from your hostile and rude remarks.

I ask you:JUST LET IT GO FOR CHRIST'S SAKE!!!The "gun guy's are not the one' continuing this argument it is you all!
I even made a post saying "why not let it end and get back on topic"?
FOR the last time please gentleman:
THIS IS THE THREAD FOR DL #87.
TALK ABOUT IT!!!!
I am done,I have layed my sword down,Scourge is not around to defend himself and Andy and Dan are nice guy's who really don't deserve this abuse.
I am used to fighting and dealing with abuse(my whole life) so I don't mind the insults and hostility. Please leave my friend's alone and pick on me if that makes you all happy ok.Dan is a great guy and Mike, that comment about his fiction was a below the belt thing to say and you should apologize to him.
All that being said,Ron could you pls step in and end this???
Or could you guy;s just simply let it end for God's sake.
Now I did not insult or demean anyone now so my proposal to let it end should not get any negative feedback from Mike/Raboy/DL Rogue, and LIew32,OK fella's?
Just stop it here, enough is enough already!
It does not matter that you all hate me,I am fine w/that,but for Dan and Andy's sake(especially Scourge)and the integrity of this site
Iimplore you STOP PLEASE!!!!
BACK ON TOPIC: DeathLands #87 Desolation Crossing

Dan,you know your story is great and so do I .So does Andy and Scourge(Mac).Obviously alot of other people like it to judging by the thousands of  times it has been viewed. You are only catching heat because you, like Andy happen to see things from my your own perspective and not some one elses.

Just ignore them.I am from now on.Lets just commune between ourselves. There are a small group of cool individuals like Jim/Andy/ you/Mac/Ron and Myself as well as Finn,Diablo and the rest of our friends in the gun group.(as well as Allan Phillipson) who make this site worth while.
We were getting on just fine until this hostility broke out and a bunch of people decided they would be "tough guy;s"by sending hatemail from the comfort of their home to insult men that they resent for reasons I can not fathom.

So uh... this Desolation Crossing...

Is this latest writing from Andy Boot as good as or better than his recent books?

How does it compare to his earlier books? His books seem to be inconsistant in quality based on reviews I have seen, is he improving much?

What author that is still on the DL team is better lately, Boot or Pollata?

There are several seemingly inaccurate statements in the above post:

add to the list this little gem...

...I am a graduate of Ranger, Sniper, Sapper and various other schools (Air Born, Air Cav, Stryker, etc)...

Any graduate of the Airborne school would be proud and intelligent enough to know that its name derives from the fact that you enter into the battle from the sky as in AIR -sky BORNE -carried

and not

Brought into the world from the Sky as in AIR -sky BORN -Birth.

And don't give me the BS its a simple spelling error he uses TWO words here not one as is correct.

I guess his absence here is due to a sudden posting to some hot den of action...

His best book recently was Thunder Road. I am only a quarter of the way through Desolation Crossing, and I do not like it as much as I did his previous one.  It's not awful, but you can read what you like into the fact that I started reading it over a month ago and I am only a quarter of the way through.

Regarding Boot vs. Pollata, I personally would give the edge to Boot right now.

Cleanup on aisle 5? I'm on it.

Why yes, Ben and i did have a great day today at the Magic Kingdom, thanks for asking. Did you hear about the big announcement today, that they are doing a huge expansion to Fantasyland? It's going to be awesome. I was talking to one of the managers today, and she told me they are breaking ground in November, and it will take three years to complete everything.

So hey, interesting piece of trivia: at the top of each post is an Alert button. It's that yellow triangle with the exclamation point, and if you click on that it will let you alert me to an objectionable post. Unless you are a moderator, it's really not your job to defend the dignity and honor of JamesAxler.com (although I certainly appreciate the sentiment). Just flag it and move on. If I happen to be sitting at my computer, I'll take care of it immediately. If I am doing something wacky like spending the day at a theme park with my son, well, it may take me a few hours but I will take care of it. In the meantime, just please flag it and move on.

Thanks!

I don't know Ron.. Pollatta hasn't ever written anything as bad as Strontium Swamp.. that was the worst piece of drivel EVER in the DL series.. EVER.

Did I mention it was BAD?

I have to go with Pollata, because he didn't write.. wait for it.. Strontium Swamp!

Rumors are rife that a couple of the new additions will be to scale versions of Avengers Mansion and the Baxter Building.

But those are just rumors.

(That reminds me...I need to delete some posts on the MarkEllisInk.com forums...)

Sadly, even though Disney just bought Marvel, Universal Studios Orlando has the license for all Marvel Superhero themed attractions east of the Mississippi. As I understand it, that license holds for as long as Universal keeps the attractions open. As such, Disney is precluded from opening any Marvel themed attractions in the Orlando market for the foreseeable future.

I suspect that Universal will get The Wizarding World of Harry Potter opened next year, and then start thinking about how to re-theme Marvel Superhero Island. Probably five years from now Universal will change out the theming of the entire area, and then the year after that we'll see some kind of Marvel attraction at Disney's Hollywood Studios.

Full disclosure:  I never got around to reading Strontium Swamp.  There are probably about a dozen Axler books I have not personally read, and that's one of them.  But Thunder Road was a very good book, so he gets brownie points from me for writing a newer book that made for a good read.
