Clarke learned his trade from a cache of predark medical books - he told JB during the exam.

As far as I can remember J.B's Glaucoma went the same way as many other things in the DL world -down the river never to be seen or mentioned again (a bit like Docs hat!)

Still I cant say I remember much about the last 15 or so books as they have not been holding my attention as well as the older ones did.

Jim

While I do wonder what in the world happened with J.B's glaucoma, you have to go a little further back for Doc's stovepipe hat.  He threw it into the Hudson River while on the way to Front Royal in Homeward Bound.

And hence me saying "...down the river never to be mentioned again"

And there is a really good reason why LJ had doc do that with his hat as well

There have been a couple of books where there is mention of J.B.'s glaucoma being in remission.

Well I have read another 15 or so since my last post in this thread, all out of order mind you. So a book title would be helpfull. As I haven't read one recently, or for that matter remember reading one long ago that referenced it.

he didn't really...He either found the equipment and figured out how it worked by process of elimination or had a gradfather (or Great grandfather) that survived skydark and handed the process down. I think its addressed in Freedom lost but its been a few years since I read that one
