I finished Plague Lords a few days ago and it's one of the best Deatthlands novels to come out in a while. For a while the stories were kind of By-The-Numbers . This book was fresh and posed many problems for the characters both physically and emotionally. I await Part 2.

    Skullsplitter and Captain Basil,
Thanks for the kind words about Plague Lords. Hope the second part of the duology doesn’t disappoint you. Like I said in another thread here, I intended Dark Resurrection to be my last-ever DL so I wanted to go out with a bang instead of a whimper.

I finsihed reading Plaque Lords a few weeks ago and went back to catch up on a few old ones I missed, but Plaque was by far the BEST Deathlands book I have read in a long time. The description of the fight when Ryan and crew are stuck in the ship and all Hell is being unleashed on them, was mind blowing!! I don't remember a book in which the Gang took such a harsh and utter one sided ass kicking. I am now franticly searching for the latest book to continue this Duology and find out what happens!!! Until then I am reading Apocalypse Unborn.. which I must say started so far off from where Desert Kings finished that I had to literaly check 3 times to make sure I was reading the right one... but it is very good so far despite the abrupt change.

    Hey, dean_cawdor1977,
Glad Plague Lords pleased you.  I hope what happens in Dark Resurrection does the same.

The DL stories are rarely consecutive, one leading to the next (except as in PL/DR where they were written by a single author), and sometimes even the unconnected books get published out of the order intended by the authors, which can cause continuity problems if information or events in the first book is used in the second--and the second book comes out first.
