Hello all.....not exactly my first time here - I couldn't remember my Loggin stuff!!! Anyway, I am currently playing Fallout 3 for Xbox 360, and having got quite a ways in, I have noticed a few similarities between the Deathlands saga and the game.....

Off the top of my head:

    - setting for both is a post-apoctalyptic USA

    - the main character carries a rad counter, as do Ryan and JB

    - in both, the charactetrs wander the wastelands in search of food, water and ammo, all-the-while battling mutant creatures

    - The one that sold it for me - in the game, you have to battle a group called "The Family" - a group of people who follow a vampiristic lifestyle -  if you have read DL #29 Bloodlines, you will know about the Cornelius family, and their exploits.  I am still playing the game as we speak, but the similarities are pretty unreal, which leads me to belive that DL was somewhat of an inspiration for this game.....

On a side note, the newest book, Plague Lords, is pretty good so far....

Dont get me wrong here, Fallout 3 is a great game (in my opinion) and a long awaited follow on to Fallouts 1 and 2 (on the PC). I like the game a lot and am on my 3rd time around, trying this run to get all the Neutral achievements.

Finding all 20 Bobbleheads was a challenge as was getting over a lot of the major glitches I encountered within the game mechanics. The Behemoths I expected to be more of a challenge but even on the hardest setting proved nothing more than a minor inconvenience.

Most annoying was topping out at level 20 which makes the game quite pointless to continue with once you get there.

Still I think There may be enough in the game to get me through a fourth time –I still need to try out a few perks that I thought pointless.
