Well for two years i traveled the US form coast to coast with the army. And this was cool because i drove from base to base. I have been to 42 of the 50 states. And the reason i bring this up I'm making a map of were the gang has been to and were i have been. Whats cool is it seams i have traveled the same roads Highway 10 down south from MS to TX. etc. In the new books Corpus Cristie in Texas , the bridge in the story i drove over it. But i was thinking were is the Lady Lex (the aircraft carrier). Must got sunk o well.

But were have you all been?

Not a problem. I wish I had visited a lot of the States before now. Lets think, places in the US I want to visit or tour...

    Crater Lake
    USS Constitution
    The Alamo
Area 51 (Just to say I had been there really, I know you cant get within a mile or so of the place but still...)
Grand Canyon (yeah it has to be done I'm a tourist !)
The best little whorehouse in Texas (just joking )
    Chicago
    Philadelphia
    Acadia Scenic Byway
    The Lewis and Clark Trail
    Pueblo Ruins

The list goes on and on.

Have to admit, I've never been to Corpus.  But I have two friends (one a fishing bud) who live there.  I sent the PL chapters about Padre Island and the area to them, and asked them to make corrections re: the facts.  I did the same thing in DR with Veracruz--a friend who was living there at the time vetted the book.

Any errors appearing in the final manuscript are mine. Or the editors.   (Just kidding, Ti. You did a great job.)

Now this is how an author should approach his work -in MY opinion.

You will enjoy Boston. I live south of the city and it's got lots to do, plenty of historical stuff and it's a Walker's City. It's easy to get around. I would also suggest getting down to Plymouth if you have the time. I'm just a few towns north of there and I just can't get enough of the place.

I look forward to it and I'm glad its a walkers city, I hate to not be able to move around a place as a pace that is good for me. I always have a camera in hand too so being on foot just adds to the shots I can get.

There are so many places around Boston with English names Plymouth, Manchester, Cambridge, Brighton, Aberdeen (OK thats in Scotland!) it makes you realise just why its NEW England.

With any luck at all you will be able to get some good local beer. Everyone raves about Sam Adams but I recommend the Harpoon Brewery. Unlike Sam Adams, they actually brew their beer in Boston. The Harpoon IPA is good stuff. I'm a home brewer so I may be a little more picky than the average guy. Cheers!

Home Brew is good, I'm all for it myself and its cheaper than a store or pub too -oh and licencing laws don't apply in your own home

I'm not a fan of mass produced "Lager" myself. I like Real ale brewed in a wooden barrel made from real ingredients.

    Nowhere,

But I am from Canada. Never been to the US.

It is suprising to me the companions have never made it here. At least as far as I can remember. I have read most of the books but not all. I seem to remember in one book the companions mentioned that Canada was a frozen wasteland.

I think they have made it to the U.K., Japan, Russia, Panama, and some island. I do not think it was Hawaii though.

Nowhere!. Never been out of Europe myself thus aint really been anywhere the gang have been, except London, which does'nt count in my limited mind as i haven't reached there in the DL books as yet. Whilst i dont think My genral geography is bad, i've still found myself reaching for the atlas/ g'gle maps on occasion and have found the archive section here very helpful in that regard. Talking of home brew. Anyone run it through a pump and chiller system? mmmmh, good.

Best book in the series "Hell Road Warrior's" was set in Canada. Read this now. You'll thank me later.
