Lets see if I can assist here:

1 the book is #35 Bitter Fruit by Mel Odom, not one of the best pieces of his work but far better than some of the newer tripe they have published. The characters in Outlanders visit England as well in a far better story arc.

2 that would be "Long Johnson" -I wonder how he got his name And it is never explained how he comes to know Doc.

3 I think its the same reason Krysty's boots have never worn out, characters have the same weapons, same clothes etc. etc. Because we now have a rotating door system of (mostly so called) writers working on the series they have to leave the characters exactly as they found them at the close of each book.

Q3 . You make a lot of sense thanks . I wonder if that means Doc's Lemat will stay a cartridge gun or if it will be back to a black powder & cap gun again ?

i think long jonson got his name because the riter chose it to be that.

I seem to recall reading one time where Krysty had to get her boots resoled (it could've been one of the early books, I'm not sure). They just don't mention it because it's not really important.

Do you know who MADE Krysty's boots? We have been told in quite an early book...

Here's my take on the coat thing.  Even if he did outgrow the coat, or it wore out it's likely he'd get a replacement and sew in new razors etc to make it even more dangerous.

Baz: She got them in the Alaska redoubt, in Red Holocaust

Grant: In Rider, Reaper, Ryan notes that despite being a year or so older, Jak doesn't appear to have grown at all (i.e., he's still 5'4"), but he looks to have gained 10 pounds or so (from his wife's cooking). He likely lost most of that weight after rejoining the companions - constant travel, along with irregular meals, will do that.

we got told the name of the book nere to the top. its one of the books i like set ouside of america. i wuld like to now how much of britan is still left in deathlands and wot about france and other bits of places by britan.
